Hummingbird and Hibiscus

5" x 7"

One of my favorites subjects is the Hummingbird. Here is a small 4" x 4" of a sitting Hummie! I get a lot of my inspiration and reference photos from Birds and Blooms magazine.

Weigela and Birds

I was walking one evening with my good friend and we passed a Weigela bush (I didn't know the name of the bush - but she did), she proceeded to break off a huge limb and hand it to me and said this will make a great sgrafitto piece. Needless to say we were still a mile out on our walk and I had to carry that huge limb -- but she was right it did make a nice piece.

Orchid glass vase

These vases are extremely hard to photograph so I haven't been posting any of them. This is a rub-on transfer from my printer that adheres to any non-porous surface - thus I have been making vases and votives with my art for a short while now. This product is terrific - you can use it on wood, glass, and tiles.

I cut out the objects with an exacto blade so that the glass shows through.

I have been working on digitally enhancing my art with backgrounds for note cards. This is a very purple piece! This is from an original I was commissioned to do.

Etsy Shops

I have 2 Etsy Shops, one is for my Fine Art Sgrafitto Illustrations. I have prints and a few originals on this site. The other site is mainly crafty fun stuff offering my handcarved rubber stamps.

I have started carving rubber stamps again! It's been a while and these are available on my Etsy site:
