Goldfinches and sunflowers - WIP

This is a 12"x16" piece. This is how it looks inked out and ready to scratch. I paint in my subjects and sometimes they get lost in there. You can see the flying goldfinch - but can you find the other 2 birds?

Below I have started the fun part and now you can see the other birds!

Small works in progress

Below are (2) 4"x4"s of Hummingbirds and trumpet flowers. The first photo shows just the subject painted in with black ink - the second photo is of the Hummingbirds scratched out.

Hummingbird time again!

A watercolor I did. Every once in a while I just like to play with the watercolors on a nice piece of Arches watercolor paper. I detailed it with some ink.

Work in Progress

This is a work in progress, Cattleya Orchid 8" x 10". It took a while to scratch out the details. I'll post it again after it is painted!

Biltmore Estate

A beautiful day at the Biltmore Estate last Saturday, the saucer magnolias were in full bloom. It was windy though - still had a great day with my friend Lynn, enjoyed lunch at Cedric's Tavern and just walking around in the shops. Highly recommend to locals to get a season pass and enjoy the estate often. Took a photo of the Inn from Antler Hill Village.

I have been playing with my art, taking my original work and digitally enhancing it with backgrounds. Just another outlet for being creative!
